I am a proud wife, mother of two sons, and a mother in law and enjoy the time we can be with each other.  We all share a love for Trojan football and  always look forward to the fall when the season begins. I adore dogs and have two of my own and somehow ended up being the primary caregiver for the past 13 years to two comical cockatiels.

After graduating from college, I worked hard and played the usual climb the corporate ladder path eventually leading to a position in senior management for a regional health care company.  I decided to take a “one year hiatus” when my children were in elementary school so I could spend more time with them while they were young.  That “year” turned into a “over a decade”.

 

I enjoy walking, my personal hybrid daily cardio routine, and yoga but my past time passion is European travel.  When I was working, I could never take enough time off from work to experience international travel.  When my children were young, our vacations centered around kid-friendly places, which usually included the ocean.

 

In this stage of my life, my “vacations” have finally become “adventures”.

 

Some of my interests include my ancestry and history in general and I think these hobbies contribute to my love of travel.  Although some of my family lines have been traced to being in the United States for nearly 400 years, I feel a sense of home in some other countries as well. Although I, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), have an obvious allegiance to our wonderful USA, I still feel my British (along with other Euro lines) ties whenever I travel outside of the USA and visit beloved Europe.
